seriously. may 21st? thats the last time we bumped into each other? myyy bad. my blog was neglected in the summer- im sure no one cares cus its not like its anything to really miss...but all in all- I miss just writting my random thoughts. cus really- im full of random thoughts and sometimes it feels good to just get them out. a lot of my thinking time is when im in the car. ive been commuting to school starting this week and an hour in the car really gets my brain ticking. its weird because driving has become as easy as breathing sometimes. i can get from A to B without even really trying. Its like we are all robots on the freeway really- who are all thinking. i figured if im thinking in the car how many other peoples minds are just ticking away. then i had this odd image of cartoon thought bubbles floating above everyones cars. then i realized i am so odd and changed my mind. but while i was driving today i was thinking about the things i love and hate about driving. i know hate is a strong word but bare with me and just take it as "dislike" for this one post. anywho i came up with a totally random lists of what i love when driving and what i absolutely cant stand.
i love when...you have a brand new cd in your car so it makes the trip ten times better.
i hate when...you are stuck behind some slow poke cars and after being obnoxious and tailing them for a bit you just decide to speed up and go around them to make a point- but then a semi is suddenly in front of you and the slow cars simply pass you and then you retake your spot right behind them. ps. dont make eye contact. so awkward- they are prob laughing at you.
i love when...you spritz body spray all over you car while driving and then look to your left to see that mr. mini van passenger was watching you spray it on your self, the seat, the things hanging from the mirror, and everywhere else. so awkward- yet hilarious.
i hate when...you are in the fast lane, stuck behind a few cars but then a gigantic truck(shining there lights into your mirror causing you to suddenly be blind) desides to be your trailer and ride your butt in other words telling you to move over. cant you see big truck that if i move for you, all that will do is give you my spot and ill take yours? why would i do that? the cars in front of us will still be slow.
i love when...you hit major green lights. your sailin through town one greenbean after another. ive said this before- it really is DEE best.
i hate when...you kindly let a fellow driver in front of you- maybe merging or what have you..and they simply look at you like your a fly on the wall and barge their way in. excuse me? who made you royalty of the freeway. a nice hand wave will do!
i love when...you feel like you and another car are at battle. like your racing or you start to try and bug eachother. k i dont love it but i find it hilarious. like sometimes i feel like maybe im just playing the game by myself and the other car doesnt really care. but it does make the drive a whole lot more interesting!
i hate when...you cut someone off and feel terrrrrible...and you wait for them to pass you and your hands start to sweat cus you know its gonna be the most awkward thing in the world. so option one: you stare forward like you have no idea but feel their eyes burning a hole in the side of your head. or option two: you look over with a "oops" face and then give you a mean nasty dirty look . either way its super awk.
i love when...you are driving in the fast lane and before you have to tail someone, they just see you creepin up and they switch lanes. you dont have to slow down or nothing. its like i was turn to that fellow freeway driver and salute them for their kindness and awareness. we are now buddies.
i hate when...you are mad at another driver and go to give them a dirty look cus they are being a pain but really its your neighbor from up the street. or you get mad at another car and think your gonna loose them but end up pulling into the same parking lot. stay in the car for a minute or run and loose them in the dust.
i love when...you're sailing along just going about your day and you look at see the other side of the freeway is jam packed with traffic. glad im over here and not there!
i hate when...semi's think they need to be in the fast lane. squuuze me? your causing a problem here buddy- a 13 car line up behind you is what.
i love when...you have someone in the car with you so you can drive in the car pool lane when its busy! dont mind if i do!
i hate it when...people who AREN'T cops, drive cars that LOOK like cop cars. antennas, weird mirrors on the side, metal fence thing between them and the back seat, some kind of lights on top, or simply a while Impala. It gets me every time! I swear my heart skips a beat and I hurry and make sure Im not speeding and then i realize its just a35 yr old guy driving to the grocery store and i realize i got upset over nothing. nothiiiiing.
and last but not least, i love when...you drive all theway to your destination with out any problem or mind game..you just simply drive, contently, and you cant even remember the trip - but youre there!
