recap

So I've been quite the blogging slacker...again. School has been the super busy, probably busier than I have been the whole year.  So I guess that is my reason as to why I am so behind in the blogging world.  I will try to be more up to date from now on, since my scheduale should be pretty easy until finals. So the past month has been busy like I said, and this past week I've had THEE worst luck in the world.  I know complaining isnt really the most mature thing to do, but sometimes it's all that comes out.  So first of all, I had a huge photo assignment due. I had about 70 pictures that I needed to take in a week for my portfolio. So I took them and then when developing them- i come to find out that NONE, must i repeat, NONE of them worked. So I got the lucky oppurtunity of redoing the ENTIRE assignment, in a weekend. And then to my luck again, one whole role, which is about 35 pictures, got ruined. I learned my lesson- PHOTO IS NOT MY CALLING IN LIFE. I will never take a class again.  Ill just stick to my digital camera and taking pictures of just regular day to day things haha.  On the other hand, I had a flight home last friday and of course, in my bad luck streak- it was a flight going to st. george. problem! i was in st. george already, and needed to go to salt lake. (luckily i found a flight the next morning) But when i got in town, I had to get my hair extentions fixed...and of course that didnt work so well, i had to take them ALL out. yikes. back to short hair for a week. Which was not my first choice but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do right. So anyways my luck wasnt at it peak.  although when i did get home, Zach filled me in that I missed a very good talk in church about being grateful- and not only being grateful for your blessing, but for your trails as well. I guess I should have been there because it was probably just what I needed to hear.  So during this Thanksgiving season- I am grateful for all the obvious things that I have, all my blessings and all the things that make me happy, but especially during this time, I am grateful for my trails.  I've learned they only make me stronger and I learn from the situation.  Zach also told me something i wont forget, you cant go through life without having a couple bad days, because then you couldnt be grateful for the good days.

I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving :]

me cates and megggy
all the girls :]
starting our fire. i forgot to take one when it was at its prime! but thats okay, you get an idea.
the thing I love about college is that you dont have to wait for the weekend to do something fun. Haha basically every night is a weekend night- yeah yeah, you still have to study and all that- but there is usually something fun going on as well! Last night a bunch of us went up to the top of this mountain and had a bonfire. We didn't do anything else really but just stand around it and listen to old rock music and country and just talk. (no mallows- which was dissapointing) but it was fun to just do something different for a change and spend time with everyone! mmm love college life :]

happy burrfday

this last thursday was the big dayyy! i turned 19. so bascially i have one more year as a teen and it seeems like im growing up too fast. i dont know if im actually "growing up", im just getting older. too fast! but i had a pretty good day, even though i was away from home. i went to school, went out to brunch with my friend caitlyn (and then stopped at taco bell AFTER, because i was craving a burrito- you can do that on your birthday i swear!) went BACK to school...then came home and got ready and went out to dinner with everyone, went to the boys flag football game, and then studied. and in between all that i was laughing or smiling or taking pictures. it was fun day and i was so grateful for my friend and zach for turning my week around and really trying to make my day special! and then on friday- my mom, nicole, and ashley all came down to visit! it was so much fun to spend time with them. we went shopping and got pedicures- and of course ate some good food! OH AND DONT FORGET- we went to go see HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3. and we LOOOOVED it! megan and caitlyn came along as well and it was the highlight of my week. haha its so nerdy and cheesy but since i knew a few people in the movie it was fun to look for them. and plus zac efron looked good....REAL good. after they left that night i just hung out with the usual. me, caitlyn, zach, and zach owsley all decided we felt like buying a board game because our plans to go to the haunted corn maze fell through and so we went to walmart- and ended up spending a whole hour there. haha we tried out nerdy costumes and laughed our heads off. it was so much fun even though we were being so dumb. then we came back and popped pop corn, ate cake and played clue! haha it was fun for a change to do something different and it was the perfect way to end my week.
thank you every body who contributed into making my birthday a good one!!
and keep sophie in your prayers! thannnnnks :]

so im officially the worst "blogger". i have been so behind its unreal. and i apologize because i know you are all DYING to know whats going on in my life...(haha jokes). anyways its been like a month since ive updated so i guess i better recap. in that time ive gone home twice- once for the homecoming game and the other just to go home over fall break. its was nice to stay longer the second time and actually feel like i was visiting. i got to hang out with my family and do a little birthday shopping- i loved every minute. and we even had a big birthday dinner for me on saturday night and mom made my favorite- pumpkin pie :]! so going home was great. other than that ive just been going to school- staying up late, teaching myself to actually make some food, doing homework day in and day out...and just enjoying the warm sunshie :] (yes it did get cold for a bit but now its back in the 80's, jealous?) but heres a couple pics to just show what ive been up to! ill try to keep up better from now on

.ONE MORE THING.
my friend sophie is in acute renal failure. her kidneys are functioning at 8%. if you could remember to keep her in your prayers that would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

rodeo weekend

This last weekend the Rodeo was in St. G! The four of us girls decided it would be super fun to go- even if we had to miss the football game for it. (Its not everyday you get to go to a rodeo right?) So we threw on our cowboy boots..(or cowgirl boots) and our skirts and short shorts, curled our hair and headed off for the night.  The only thing missing was our cowboy hats...pathetic i know. but we went to Maverick to buy some and they were all gone. so we just went without them! It was my first time to a rodeo and i loved it! minus a few things- i hate when they chase the baby cows and tie them up. rude. jussssst rude. but other than that i loved the crazy bucking horses and bulls. and ESPECIALLY the little kids riding the sheep. Haha funniest thing ive ever seen! All in all, it was a lot of fun and something new to do. I guess we will have to wait till next year to go again!

me and caitlyn waiting for the Rodeo to start. we were an hour and half early....dumb idea.
our CUUTE boots. sophie and megan had matching ones and caitlyn actually went and bought her pink ones right before at a little shop- they were all way expensive so she tried on the kids and they fit! only 30 dollars!!  and my sweet gold ones ive had since my 16 birthday in san francisco.
all of us standing in front of some horses. a random boy took this and failed to mention we had nice big shadows on our faces...thanks homie!
im in photo and we just learned about mergers- so just ignore the flags coming out of our heads.... but it is kinda patriotic right?

us again....trying to go for some model look i guess? not really working..
i had to cheer up my little sopha.  im kinda obsessed with her...(she claims)
bigg curls. me and catess just stillllllll waiting :]
