Day 19. A song you love at this very moment.

i really do have a million favorites. of everything. usually when i like a song too- ill like it for like a couple weeks and then move on. move past it. get over it and find something new. but besides the point- i am loving the new brandon flowers cd. yep i honestly think that "only the young" is one of the most well-written songs. i love everything about it, not to mention his beautiful as ever voice. he is so musically talented that i think he needs a super big shout of for this amaaazing song. SO HOLLER at b.flowers- and if you all love it, you should check out the rest of his cd, Flamingo. (i may or may not have a little crush)

(other songs im loving at the moment: breathe again- sara bareilles.
strip me- natasha bedingfield.
something in the water- brooke fraser.
sorrow- the national
if i die young- the band perry
black&yellow- wiz khalifa. ha holler.
....okay im done i could go on for hours.)

18. A habit you wish you didn't have.

shoooooot. here we go. I'm about to look like the biggest space case ever. alright everyone, before i tell you how i have no brain, id like you to all know that i really do have a brain...just sometimes it feels like i don't.
im probably just confusing you so, my horrible habit is....

i. misplace. everything.

its not even funny how many things i loose daily. between my keys, worksheet for school, make up bag, and purse- you could probably start a reality show about it. its REDIC. its one of those things that legit makes me mad at myself. i cant laugh about it cus all i can think about is how dumb i am. and then i get upset at myself, give myself an internal lecture and continue to retrieve my objects.

with this habit, my misplacing goes into two categories. allow me to explain.  so first off, i either- leave stuff behind that just causes me to go out of my way to go back and get it. or secondly- i seriously loose stuff. for a long time. and cant find it. and don't know when or how i lost it, but all the sudden its missing.

today i had a mishap- of course. (this has happened three times now)
i spend my weekends in salt lake and head back to provo monday nights.  so i packed up all my stuff in my car and headed to dinner with my fam before going all the way to prov.  it was perf too because it was in the direction i wanted to go. so after the 30 minute drive (because of the snow) we got to the restaurant. OH WHOOPS. i realized i forgot my purse. you're kidding. blahhlkfjdlaskjfalksd. i did not want to turn around and go back home- but i had no choice. so i drove BACK to my house...grabbed my purse and headed back to prov.
now im just happy and dancing to my music in my car when i suddenly have a flash back to early in the day. i remembered that i bought something online and in order to do so, i had taken my wallet out of my purse. i had this perfect little image of me throwing my wallet onto the couch when i was done and then who knows what i did after that. so in a little panic i grabbed my purse and felt around inside- NO WALLET. you're kidding. lfdjsklajfdlakjdla. by this time i was already almost to the point of the mountain- meaning i was right in the middle of prov and my house. i decided not to go back and get it but i haven't yet decided if that was a good idea or not. i have LIKE ONE DOLLAR in my room that gonna get me through the next two days. wish me luck. no buying gross food from the Crest. maybe this will help me...who knows.

anywho, im not complaining- because its no ones fault but my own! i am just a freaking mess and dont know what happened to my brain in the past months cus it has never been this bad- EVER.

i figure i just need a little panic button on everything i own, or everything should be callable...so i can call it when i cant find it. or i need to hire an assistant who keeps track of everything i own..cus that's just too big of a job for me to handle i guess?

geeeze. i NEED to find the switch to my brain and turn it ON!

sixteen

Day 16. Post a picture of you when you were young.

if i had a genie with a few wishes- i think one of them would be to go back to being little. when everything was a game, easy, just carefree. i loved being little. i loved going home on sunday after church and dumping out my bucket of barbies and getting lost in their world for hours on end. i loved the imagination that ran like crazy. i loved that if your mom called and said you had to be home in an hour- that felt like forever and you could play so much in that small time frame. i loved that i would wake up in the morning and go watch arthur before anything else. i loved that highschool kids seems so cool and going to the football games was the highlight of my week. i loved having everyone in my family living in the same house. i loved recess and thinking that you were good at everything you tried. i loved the school crushes and the days when you could put your backpack on a hook outside the classroom and know that it would be okay for the whole day. wouldnt it be amazing if nothing changed as you grew up.  there is something so spectacular about little kids- they are full of confidence and excitement about life...what happened over the years? all though we all grow up- there will still be that little kid in my heart forever.
i know a quote by walt disney that i think is very appropriate that i just love.

"Too many people grow up.  That's the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up.  They forget.  They don't remember what it's like to be 12 years old.  They patronize, they treat children as inferiors.  Well i won't do that."
-Walt Disney

(parky and i were attached at the hip.  our moms always had us geting our pictures done together- this one is hilarious in our plaid. we were best buddies- cant wait till he gets homee!!!)
(check out those buck teethies. i remember this was the best day ever- when we brought hailey home. i have so many memories with that little thing, dressing her up in my doll clothes, throwing her in the leaves(?), basically treating her like a baby not a dog. ohh the days)

day 15. If you were stranded on an Island, who would be with you and which limited 10 items would you two have?

so this question had me in a runt- seeing as i dont know how long im on this island for my ten items could drastically change depends on if im there for a month or like a year plus...
sophie is having a sleep over in my room and she said i was there for a month. i guess she can like read into the future or something and knows the unknown- i was grateful for her knowledge. whatever she says goes- so this stranded on an island thing is just a month long. then i get saved.

my top ten things arent trying to be too logical and sophisticated- i just wanna enjoy my month long vacation ya know? so off the top of my head... here goes!

fourteen

day 14. Your favorite quote.

you know me, i can never choose just ONE. so im not going to- cus no ones making me. i have a book that i started writing down quotes in, after i saw that my cute friend chloee drews did something much similar. so my mother dear bought me a vintage little journal to put quotes in whenever i felt the need to do so. i opened it up to find a favorite and while i was re-reading them i fell in love with them all over again. so i picked a couple, they are all personal to me in a different way. i like that no matter what point, stage, or journey you are in life- there's a quote that fits just right. ENJOY.

"develop interest in life as you see it; in people, things, literature, music- the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. forget yourself."
-henry miller.

"the past can hurt, you can either run from it, or learn from it."
-rafiki (the lion king)

"some days you'll love each other just like that. and other days you'll have to work at it.  you never see the hard days in a a photo album, but those are the days that get you from one happy snapshot to the next."
-just married.

"fall in love with your life. give yourself permission to have a magnificent obsession.  life is an amazing adventure.  have the courage to follow your passion wherever it may take you.  plead guilty and often to loving your family and friends.  if you want love, give it away, that's how it works; and where love is present life is full.  so, follow your life's loves to the end.  do whatever your heart leads you to do- but do it!"
-unknown.

"you're only here for a short visit.  don't hurry, don't worry. and be sure to stop and smell the flowers along the way."
-walter c. hagen.

"say yes to life, even though you know it may devour you."
-stephen larsen.

"all anyone wants is to be treated with respect.  to recieve respect, you have to give it. to be able to give it, you need to have it for yourself."
-kathy buckley.

About a week ago my sweet Nana (my dads mother) passed away. We had her funeral this last Saturday and it went beautifully.  While I was growing up I didn't see my Nana as much as I would like but in the past five years, Ive got to see her about once a week.  My family started having her come over every Sunday for dinner and I had the opportunity of getting to know her on a new level.  Although she was week and frail, we managed to still create a friendship.  Over the past years Ive watched her get weaker and older- she held on for longer than most imagined but was finally sent to rest. The last night I saw her before she passed was a sweet memory I will always remember. She was very out of it but could manage a few words.  She made eye contact for split seconds and murmured out a few sentences.  She looked at me, and told me that I was so nice, so nice. She smiled a few times, said I love you and told me i was so nice again.  Lastly she added, you're hair looks good. I had to laugh because only my Nana would notice such a thing- and it really didn't look good, i just woke up for my nap, but it was sweet of her none the less. I know now that my sweet Nana is back to her healthy self, with her spunky personality and perfect hearing. I know shes watching down on the legacy she created and is proud. She will always be in my heart- I'm grateful that I got to be closer with her in the past few years. rip.
